Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna ha supportato l'azienda GF SPA nella partecipazione allo SME INSTRUMENT

GF Spa is an Italian enterprise, situated in the Emilia-Romagna region, and operating in the pharmaceutical processing & machinery industry since 1979.  It is specialized in designing and making machines for quality and process control in the pharmaceutical and beverage sectors. The company is active  in particular in  the sector of inspection by cameras (artificial vision). This sector has in recent years taken on increasing importance and penetration in the industrial automation world for its numerous advantages (variety, flexibility and accuracy of controls, possibility of non-destructively checking all the products, high speed and reliability over time, etc) and above all for the very rapid technological growth it is undergoing.

LCM Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH is a private, non-universitary research organization situated in Linz, Upper Austria. It supports its partners and costumers along the entire innovation chain, from basic (universitary) research to solutions, prototypes and products. The staff of LCM has long experience with scientific as well as with industrial research projects. LCM performs high level mechatronics research in six thematic areas: Process Modelling & Mechatronic Design; Mechanics and Model Based Control; Information and Control; Drives and Actuators; Sensors and Signals; Wireless Systems.

These two organisations are project partners in the proposal: “new Sterilization system for Pharmaceutical containers with increased Energy Efficiency and use of Nanofluids” (SPEEN)”, which has been submitted to the call: SME Instrument - NMP-25-2014-1: Accelerating the uptake of nanotechnologies, advanced materials or advanced manufacturing and processing technologies by SMEs on October 9th, 2014.

The EEN staff of Unioncamere presented the services of the network and suggested to Mr. Serventi to insert  a Research & Development Request in the POD and assist him in draft it and promote the profile after the EASME validation. More specifically  Valentina Patano posted a partner search in the Merlin Forum and provided the colleagues interested in the project with all the relevant information about GF spa,  the skills requested and the project main tasks. She received many EOIs and found  5 partners for the project SPEEN. One of these EOI came from Clemens Kozmich of CATT Innovation Management GmbH for his client LCM Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH. The two companies came into contact and decided to collaborate for the project.

Mr. Franco Serventi,  Generale Manager  of  the Italian GF SPA said: “ The Enterprise Europe  Network staff of Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna actively supported us in finding partners for the submission of the proposal : “ New Sterilization system for Pharmaceutical containers with increased Energy Efficiency and use of Nanofluids” (SPEEN) under a SME Instrument call. Thanks to Unioncamere support we found 5 partners and we have been able to create a whole consortium. The EEN support helped us in the improvement of the proposal quality and definitely increased our chances of success.”

Mr. George Zenze, Researcher of  Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH said:  “With the straightforward help of the Enterprise Europe Network, we learned about the proposal “New Sterilization system for Pharmaceutical containers with increased Energy Efficiency and use of Nanofluids” (SPEEN). In short time we got in contact with the Italian coordinator of the project and were able to provide our expertise in planning and simulating the required automation processes.”

Grazie all'assistenza di Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna  Tecnotelai Srl ha implemantato una startegia aziendale per esportare in Europa e Nord Africa

Tecnotelai Srl is a company located in Emilia-Romagna region and specialized since 1967 in the production of furniture for industry and office. The company is a well-know brand across Italy and it continues to increase its production capacity and its range of products. lt commercialize the great part of its production in Italy trough a well-established distribution  network. The company wants to sell its products abroad and it is interested to the European and North-African market.

Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna  organize a Business review. It was made a swot analysis of the company activities aiming at evaluating  the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the business venture. During the visit  were presented the  EEN services for the internationalization. After a deep analysis of the company business it was produced a report of the meeting containing some recommendations for the correct implementation of  a future  export strategy for the European  and North African market to be used by the company . More specifically it was recommended to:

- create a team dedicated to foreign markets,

- delineate a multi annual development plan,

- set-up a website and promotional material in English,

- invest in research and development for the creation of new products dedicated to Arabic countries.

The main outcomes for the company deriving from the support service of EEN staff are the increase of the staff size and the creation of an export department, the implementation of an international strategy and the creation of a new line of products.

Architect  Silvia Mazzolini, General Manager of the Italian company Tecnotelai Srl  said : “ The Enterprise Europe  Network staff of Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna supported us for the creation of our internationalization strategy providing us with useful suggestions and  advices. Now we have a staff dedicated to exportation and we are developing new products for the commercialization abroad. Our change of success in the foreign markets were improved and we are confident that we will increase our turnover in the next years”
